Daniel Morris, euphonium player with Woodhouse Band scored a double whammy last week. Not only did he get a merit in his Grade 8 but he was also offered a place in Derby County Wind Band. Thirteen-year-old Daniel is a pupil at Eckington School and has been playing euph for six years. He also plays with the National Children’s Brass Band of Great Britain.
Father David, local cornet player and MD of Woodhouse Band said “we’re incredibly proud of what Daniel’s achieved; he’s turning in to quite an accomplished player… much better than his Dad ever was!”
