Yes, there are more than ten bands within the Sheffield city boundary!

Eight of the above bands compete regularly in local and national contests and represent every level of competitive banding in the country. The others are non-competing or “community” bands. Many bands also have training or B bands or community bands associated with them.
So regardless of your standard and/or your view on competing, there’s a band within Sheffield for you!
And … beyond the Sheffield city boundary there are even more brass bands; over 30 within the Sheffield postcode area alone and many more within the wider Sheffield City Region which covers, Doncaster, Bassetlaw, Bolsover, Chesterfield, North East Derbyshire, Derbyshire Dales, Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley.
