Woodhouse Prize Band have rounded off a year in which they celebrated 160 years of making music by producing their first compact disc.
As well as tracks from their summer concert program, a number of the tracks have special significance in the history of the band. The opening march, entitled WPB was written by the band’s principal cornet player’s Great Great Grandad Tom Cook for instance. Another track, The Impressario, was played at the band’s 100th anniversary.
Copies of the CD are available from the band for £5. To obtain a copy by post, contact Tracy on 0114 247 2698 or catch up with them at one of the appearances over the Festive Season.
